What this form does today
The newsletter is not sending yet. The form records unverified interest, not an active subscription. It does not send a welcome email, a confirmation email, or a newsletter issue.
What is stored and why
Utah Wine Notes stores your email address, consent time, the exact consent wording and version, and whether you have withdrawn your interest. These records are private in the database attached to this site, not public pages or comments. They allow the journal to record your request and respect a withdrawal.
For abuse prevention, the site also stores a request identifier, time, request type, a one-way request fingerprint, and a daily one-way digest based on a network address when available. The newsletter database does not store the raw network address. The site’s hosting infrastructure processes requests to operate the service.
Before emails can begin
When email sending is set up, the journal may send the one confirmation email you requested. Newsletter issues will only begin after you confirm control of your address. No email provider receives your address through this form today. Any future provider and material changes to this notice will be explained before the newsletter launches. Your address will not be sold or shared with advertisers.
How to leave
Withdraw your interest / unsubscribe here, without an account, password, or confirmation email. The form gives the same response whether or not an address was on the list. Please use only your own address.
A withdrawn address remains privately marked as withdrawn so it is excluded from future launch confirmations and issues. A repeated public signup does not reverse that choice. Other interest records remain private while the pre-launch list is operated; the list should be reviewed before launch and unused records removed if the newsletter is abandoned.

You can send the journal a private question. Do not include passwords, financial details, or sensitive personal information. This is a small independent journal, not an automated privacy-request service.
